BlockBeats News, January 18th, according to Bloomberg, Senate Democrats plan to introduce legislation to prevent Trump from imposing tariffs on European countries opposed to the US annexation of Greenland. Earlier, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer criticized the move for damaging the US economy and ally relationships.
Earlier today, Trump posted on Truth Social, stating that starting from February 1st this year, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and Finland will face a 10% tariff on all goods exported to the US due to the Greenland issue. By June 1st this year, the tariff will increase to 25%. This tariff must be paid continuously until an agreement is reached on the "complete purchase of Greenland."
