Toly: Solana must continuously iterate and update, staying practical to survive

BlockBeats News, January 18th, Solana co-founder Toly responded to Vitalik's proposition that "Ethereum itself must pass the escape test" with a sharply different view. Solana must continuously iterate and should not rely on any single team or individual. However, if it stops adjusting according to developers' and users' needs, Solana will perish. Solana must have significant real-world utility and be used by numerous developers, who can earn substantial income from the transaction value on Solana. This is the only way to earn more LLM token credit for upstream improvements to the Solana general-purpose protocol.

Therefore, to survive, it must always maintain practicality. The primary goal of protocol changes should be to solve developers' or users' problems, but that does not mean solving all problems. In fact, saying "no" to most issues is necessary.
