A woman in Macau, China fell victim to an investment scam under the guise of "virtual currency," losing 1.18 million yuan

BlockBeats News, December 30th, according to Macau Radio, a local woman in Macau was induced by a netizen to invest in "virtual currency." Starting from mid-September, she made 8 transfers to a designated account. The platform displayed "paper gains of 7.9 million RMB," but when she tried to withdraw, she was asked to first pay 250,000 RMB as "exchange rate difference." After that, she lost contact with the platform and eventually confirmed that she was scammed out of 1.18 million RMB.
