ZachXBT Exposes Canadian Scammer Posing as Coinbase Support, Involving Over $2 Million USD

BlockBeats News, December 30th, according to on-chain detective ZachXBT, Canadian threat actor Haby (Havard) has reportedly conducted social engineering scams by impersonating Coinbase customer support, stealing over 2 million US dollars' worth of crypto assets in the past year, and splurging the proceeds on rare social media usernames, nightclubs, gambling, etc.

The investigation stated that Haby has recently been purchasing expensive Telegram usernames and deleted recent accounts two days ago. Through OSINT analysis, the location is suspected to be Abbotsford near Vancouver. ZachXBT indicated that Canadian law enforcement may have relevant information, but the local prosecution rate for similar cases is low.
