Trump Claims Trump Gold Card Sales Have Surpassed $1.3 Billion, Polymarket Deems It 'Not Credible'

2025-12-20 02:52

BlockBeats News, December 20th, Trump stated in yesterday's press conference that Trump Gold Card sales have reached $1.3 billion, describing it as "selling like hotcakes."

However, prediction platform Polymarket added a note to its relevant prediction, stating that only data referring to a specific number that has been definitively approved and is backed by completed payments will be counted. Trump's statement on December 19th regarding the Gold Card sales figures, as well as Howard Lutnick's claim that "it's $1.3 billion sold in just a few days," do not themselves meet the standard of being "definitively approved and backed by completed payments."

As of the time of writing, the probability on Polymarket of the prediction "Trump Gold Card sales for this year amount to 0" remains as high as 89%.

The Trump Gold Card is an investment immigration program launched by the Trump administration, allowing wealthy foreigners to obtain US residency by paying a substantial fee (currently $1 million, plus a $15,000 processing fee).
