The National Bureau of Statistics of China and the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to carry out cooperation in digital technologies and innovation such as blockchain.

BlockBeats News, December 15th, according to ChainNews, the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, and the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore jointly signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Co-building the Digital Land-Sea New Channel." The aim is to deepen the cooperation between China and Singapore in the strategic interconnection demonstration project, empower the construction of the land-sea new channel through digital transformation, and build a future-oriented smart economic corridor.


According to the memorandum, the three parties will focus on the following areas for practical cooperation: First, digital interconnection, under the digital rules framework of both parties, promote cross-border data security and orderly flow through digital infrastructure interconnection and cooperation, and explore the construction of an efficient, convenient, and secure digital channel. Second, digital technology and innovation, encourage and support enterprises and research institutions of both countries to carry out joint R&D and scenario application cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data, etc., and share experiences and achievements in smart city construction. Third, digital talent exchange and training, strengthen professional talent cultivation in the digital field through seminars, skills certification, and talent exchange projects, providing solid talent support for the development of the digital economy.
