Chair Powell's Remarks: Nothing about "Hawkish Rate Cut"

BlockBeats News, December 11th, Informa Global Markets commented on the latest speech by Fed Chair Powell: The so-called 'hawkish rate cut' is just that.

Powell pointed out that there is a tension between the Fed's dual mandate, but also acknowledged that there has not been much change since the last meeting. His stance overall is similar to before. The most memorable line from this press conference is: 'The current economy is not like an overheated economy that triggers wage-driven inflation.' (ForexLive)
