The Central Bank of Russia has confirmed that it may relax cryptocurrency regulation rules.

BlockBeats News, December 2nd, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov told local media that the financial authorities are prepared to abandon the exclusive regulatory definition. Previously, Russia only allowed a small number of "highly qualified" investors to access Bitcoin and its derivatives and other cryptocurrencies. The Russian central bank now considers it "possible" to relax current regulations restricting cryptocurrency transactions within sanctioned countries, and the monetary authority is discussing this with the Ministry of Finance. Under sanctions pressure, the Russian financial regulatory agency is changing its attitude towards cryptocurrency.
