Today's $13 Billion Nominal Value BTC Options Expire, Maximum Pain at $98,000

BlockBeats News, November 28th, Greek.live researcher Adam released today's options expiry data:

143,000 BTC options expiring, Put Call Ratio at 0.51, maximum pain point at $98,000, notional value of $13 billion.

572,000 ETH options expiring, Put Call Ratio at 0.48, maximum pain point at $3,400, notional value of $17.1 billion.

Researcher Adam stated that the main options data shows that implied volatility has rebounded compared to last month, with BTC's main term IV averaging around 45% and ETH's main term IV below 70%, both at relatively high levels this year. Before and after the expiry, the Bitcoin options' large trading volume and trading share continued to rise, mainly due to the need for position rollovers. However, Ethereum's large-volume trades are very few, reflecting different market characteristics. The market in the fourth quarter of this year can be said to be the worst in years. Due to macroeconomic uncertainties and other factors, there is a wide market divergence, making leveraged operations inadvisable.
