BlockBeats News, October 19, Galaxy Research mentioned in a recent report that the U.S. Department of Justice recently seized 127,271 bitcoins worth nearly $15 billion, causing the U.S. government's holdings to surge by 64% overnight. According to Arkham data, the U.S. government address currently holds about 325,447 bitcoins, equivalent to around $34.78 billion, accounting for approximately 3.5% of the U.S. gold reserves in dollar terms. With this, the amount of bitcoin held by the U.S. government ranks second among all entities, second only to Strategy.

Galaxy Research ironically commented on this: "Bitcoin was born to resist fiat currency, but now it has become collateral in the fiat currency system."
