BlockBeats News, October 18th, according to a report by Cointelegraph, at an event held in Washington, D.C., U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins stated that the U.S. is already ten years behind in the cryptocurrency field, and addressing this issue is a top priority for regulatory agencies.


Atkins said he believes that the U.S. may already be "about ten years behind" in cryptocurrency. He stated: "The cryptocurrency area is our top priority."
