Cathie Wood: Ethereum Unlikely to Overtake Bitcoin, Bitcoin's Scale Will Continue to Expand

She believes that Ethereum cannot surpass Bitcoin, despite her growing interest in Ethereum and her recent purchase of BitMine stock.

Wood stated that she prefers Bitcoin over Ethereum because Bitcoin's scale will continue to expand. It is a rule-based global monetary system and, as an unhacked Layer 1, it is also the first platform to create an entirely new asset class. In contrast, while Ethereum supports DeFi, it is facing intense competition from Layer 2 solutions.
