Source: Insider According to sources familiar with the matter, the Trump administration is considering restricting the import of foreign-made chips.

BlockBeats News, September 26th, according to The Wall Street Journal, the Trump administration is considering introducing a new plan aimed at significantly reducing the United States' reliance on overseas semiconductor manufacturing to promote domestic production and reshape the global supply chain.

The core goal of this plan is to require chip companies to ensure that the number of chips manufactured domestically in the United States is roughly equal to the number imported by their customers from overseas manufacturers.

According to sources familiar with the matter, if companies are unable to maintain this ratio in the long term, they will face additional tariffs.
