Cactus Custody Empowers OnChain to Bring the CMBC International Currency Fund RWA On Chain

BlockBeats News, August 21, OnChain partnered with Cactus Custody to tokenize the CCB International USD Money Market Fund as a Real World Asset (RWA) on-chain operation, providing investors with an auditable on-chain investment option. The fund was established on February 2, 2024, and as of July 31, 2025, ranked first in the Bloomberg Asia-Pacific category, leading the market with characteristics such as transparency, low volatility, and verifiable net asset value. This collaboration directly addresses four major pain points in on-chain wealth management:

· Lack of on-chain auditable custodial cash equivalents;

· Low efficiency in bank-to-on-chain fund transfers;

· Difficulty in unifying risk control audits across multiple legal jurisdictions;

· Liquidity fragmentation across multiple chains;

OnChain provides RWA on-chain technology services, with net asset value calculated off-chain and regularly brought on-chain, shareholding and transfer subject to whitelisting and quota control, and enhances redemption experience through proprietary liquidity mechanisms and liquidity contract optimization. Cactus Custody offers institutional-grade custody services, employing multi-approval, multi-signature mechanisms, cold-hot storage segregation, and multiple layers of security measures, along with daily reconciliation and periodic audits, to ensure accounting consistency, strict segregation of on-chain assets and operating funds, and to mitigate risks such as hacking attacks or internal operational errors, thereby providing bank-level investment security for OnChain users, maximizing protection of user assets from on-chain volatility and external threats.

More importantly, this is not just fund tokenization, but a replicable RWA template. By running the money market fund through the entire process, it can be extended to commercial paper pools, short-term bonds, and passive products, constructing a sustainable RWA product line to enrich the on-chain wealth management product ecosystem.
