A cryptocurrency investor using a cold wallet purchased on TikTok had assets worth 50 million RMB stolen overnight.

BlockBeats News, on June 14th, according to SlowMist CISO 23pds, SlowMist received an urgent request for help last night after an investor's cold wallet, containing cryptocurrencies worth 50 million RMB, was completely drained. Reportedly, the investor’s "cold wallet" was purchased via Douyin (TikTok China), and the private key was stolen at the moment it was generated. The massive assets were laundered through Huiwang within hours.

23pds warned that investors must purchase cold wallets through official and legitimate channels. Cold wallets advertised online as "brand new and unopened" or "special discount flash sales" are 99% fake and very likely tampered with.
