SBF has been transferred to a low-security-level prison for detention

2025-04-24 09:30

BlockBeats News, April 24th, according to Decrypt, Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate records show that FTX co-founder and former CEO SBF has been transferred to Terminal Island, a low-security federal correctional institution in Los Angeles. Previously, he was held in a notorious violent medium-security prison in California.

An inmate told Zoukis Consulting Group (a company specializing in collecting and publishing information about different prisons), "The food and location here are great," noting that "it's close to the waterfront," and "violent incidents are rare."

This is in stark contrast to the prison where SBF was previously held, which is known as the "victim's village." After being transferred from an Oklahoma transfer center by the Federal Bureau of Prisons to this prison earlier this month, SBF spent nearly two weeks there.
