Sony Partners with LINE on Blockchain Agreement

BlockBeats News, March 12th, according to CoinDesk's report, Sony's blockchain division is bringing Japan's social media giant LINE into the Web3 space, and plans to adapt multiple popular mini-programs to Sony's Soneum network.

LINE has approximately 200 million active users on its platform. Under the agreement, four LINE-based games or "mini-programs" will be integrated into Soneum, namely Sleepagotchi, Farm Frens, Puffy Match, and Pocket Mob. This integration aims to enable in-game rewards and purchases.

Soneum is primarily managed by Sony Block Solutions Labs (SBSL), a laboratory established through a collaboration between Sony and Singapore's Startale Labs.
