BlockBeats News, February 27th. According to a report from the Hong Kong media Ming Pao, Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan announced that he will soon issue the second virtual asset policy statement in the Budget, with the statement expected to be released in the second quarter. The new policy statement will increase the emphasis on market development, achieve a better balance between development and regulation, and have a broader scope than before. It will not only involve individual departments such as the Securities and Futures Commission or the Hong Kong Monetary Authority but will also not intend to have a single agency regulate virtual assets.
