Polynomial Co-founder: Ethereum Pectra Upgrade Can Only Temporarily Alleviate Scalability Issues

BlockBeats News, January 20th, Founder of DeFi Derivatives Protocol Polynomial, Gautham Santhosh, stated that the Ethereum Pectra upgrade can only temporarily alleviate the capacity issue.

“55% of all blob space has already been consumed by L2. At the current growth rate, we are only a few months away from a total collapse. It's like having 3 lanes on a highway for 50 developing cities.”

The Ethereum Pectra upgrade is scheduled for March 2025 and is expected to increase the blob limit per block to 9.
