Binance CMO: Meme Coin Craze Puts Pressure on Listing Team, No Project Can Get "Listing Guarantee"

BlockBeats News, November 30th, according to a report by Cointelegraph, at the Australia Crypto Conference 2024, Binance Chief Marketing Officer Rachel Conlan stated that the recent Meme coin craze has brought additional pressure to cryptocurrency exchanges, requiring platforms to rigorously screen suspicious projects to protect user interests.

Conlan stated that Binance has a dedicated research team responsible for listing reviews, which evaluates projects from multiple dimensions. "The team conducts a rigorous due diligence process on aspects such as the project founders' background, participants' identities, and future roadmap. Community feedback, development trends, and market insights are important considerations, rather than relying solely on market hype. No project can receive a 'listing guarantee'."

Regarding Meme coins, Conlan acknowledged that such projects are controversial due to their lack of utility, but she pointed out: "We have also seen some emerging Meme coins starting to build practical use cases, which is exactly what the industry needs." Looking ahead to the next 18 to 24 months, she expects the crypto community to experience exponential growth, making projects with practical use cases increasingly important.
