Bitcoin Rollup Project Citrea Completes $14 Million Series A Funding, Led by Founders Fund

BlockBeats news, on October 31, according to CoinDesk, Bitcoin rollup project Citrea announced the completion of a $14 million Series A financing round, led by Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, with participation from angel investors such as Erik Voorhees and Balaji Srinivasan.

It is reported that Citrea raised $2.7 million in seed funding in a round of financing led by Galaxy in February. The company adopts the BitVM computing paradigm and aims to implement Ethereum-style smart contracts on Bitcoin.
