Bitcoin’s illiquid supply reaches 74% of total circulation, a record high

BlockBeats news, on September 4, according to data tracked by ETC Group and Glassnode, illiquid entities currently hold 14.61 million BTC, equivalent to 74% of the total circulating supply of Bitcoin (19.75 million).

André Dragosch, head of research at ETC Group, said that this data represents a record high in the illiquid supply of Bitcoin, indicating that the supply shock caused by the halving is actually intensifying. This will bring increasing impetus to Bitcoin and other crypto assets in the coming months.
