BlockBeats news, August 17, according to Cointelegraph, cybersecurity solutions provider Check Point Research recently discovered a new malware called Styx Stealer. The software can steal a large amount of data, including stealing cryptocurrencies through clipboard attacks.
Styx Stealer exploits a Microsoft Windows Defender vulnerability that was fixed last year to steal saved passwords, cookies, auto-fill data, cryptocurrency wallet data, and instant messaging conversations, while combining new detection evasion techniques and adding encrypted clipper functionality. But the latest version of Windows can defend against it.
