Crypto-friendly US senator hints at big Bitcoin news this week

On July 23, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis posted on the X platform hinting that major news related to Bitcoin will be released this week. She wrote: "₿ig things are in store this week." The "B" is replaced by the Bitcoin symbol.

Cynthia Lummis has served as a federal senator from Wyoming since 2021. She actively promoted legislation on digital assets and Bitcoin during her time in Congress. In addition, Senator Lummis also participated in proposing the "Preventing Illegal Finance through Partnerships Act of 2024", which aims to establish an information sharing pilot program to combat the illegal use of crypto assets.

According to foreign media reports, she is also an early adopter of Bitcoin and has supported the development of Bitcoin and blockchain technology since her first purchase of Bitcoin in 2013.
