CDK Global was attacked by ransomware in June and paid more than $25 million in BTC ransom

BlockBeats news, on July 15, BeInCrypto reported that the ransomware gang BlackSuit received more than $25 million in Bitcoin ransom in the attack on CDK Global, a car data service provider, in June. It is understood that the attack affected about 15,000 US car dealers. Although CDK Global has not confirmed the payment of the ransom, its customers have basically resumed online services. Chainalysis pointed out that the total amount of encryption-related ransomware payments in 2023 exceeded US$1 billion.


It is reported that CDK Global is an American multinational company headquartered in Austin, Texas, that provides data and technology to the automotive, heavy truck, entertainment and heavy equipment industries.
