BlockBeats news, on May 15, the cross-chain interoperability project ZetaChain released the 2.0 version upgrade plan, proposing a series of potential upgrades to achieve the first universal Ethereum virtual machine (EVM) and full-chain abstraction. This version introduces new features such as universal proof of stake (PoS) and universal App, aiming to automate complex cross-chain interactions.
The main upgrades of ZetaChain 2.0 include:
1. Composable cross-chain messaging to simplify multi-step cross-chain transactions;
2. Full-chain accounts, allowing contracts on ZetaChain to interact with native contracts on the connected chain;
3. Universal PoS, allowing staking of assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB to improve network security;
4. Expanding Bitcoin compatibility to support more Bitcoin script types;
5. Integrating the IBC protocol to introduce new potential uses for the IBC ecosystem.
These upgrade plans proposed and developed by the community are being actively promoted in ZetaChain's public node code base. If they pass the on-chain governance vote, they will be officially launched in future network upgrades. ZetaChain is committed to enabling users to use applications on all blockchains simply and quickly through full-chain abstraction, regardless of which chain they are on.
