Avail partners with dWallet Network to launch native Bitcoin Rollup
BlockBeats news, on April 2, modular blockchain solution provider Avail announced a partnership with dWallet Network to introduce native Bitcoin Rollup functionality into the Avail ecosystem. This collaboration will leverage dWallet’s multi-party computation (MPC) infrastructure to enable users to natively manage their BTC assets in any Rollup in the Avail ecosystem without giving up control of their digital assets.
Under the partnership agreement, Avail’s Rollup smart contracts will be able to programmatically manage native BTC for the first time while retaining user ownership. This move represents a shift from traditional cross-chain solutions that rely on possible collusion risks (such as bridging technology) to non-collusion decentralized multi-chain layer solutions. Avail co-founder Anurag Arjun said that this cooperation not only enhances the programmability of BTC, but also enables the implementation of Layer-2 chains or Rollups on top of the Bitcoin network.
This integration is achieved through Avail Nexus, which is a zero-knowledge collaborative rollup that embeds light clients based on validity proofs and execution proof aggregation technology. This critical step will help unify the Web3 ecosystem and enable developers to leverage Avail Fusion to borrow security from assets native to mature ecosystems such as BTC, ETH, and more.
The integration of dWallet Network will also facilitate the implementation of the Fusion Security model, which when launched will allow users to securely hold BTC, ETH or other assets and stake them through dWallets to enhance the security of the Avail ecosystem while maintaining control over Ownership of native assets. This will introduce the first native multi-chain staking/re-staking solution designed to secure consensus across different blockchains.
