The AI craze in the crypto space drives Bittensor subnet registration fees to soar to $6.7 million
According to BlockBeats news, on March 13, as the craze of artificial intelligence (AI) in the encryption field continues to heat up, the cost of registering a subnet on the Bittensor network soared to $6.7 million. The cost to register a subnet last month was just 100 TAO, or $53,000, but as of yesterday it had reached 10,127 TAO ($6.7 million).
The Bittensor subnet is a specialized network integrated with the Bittensor blockchain, with its own miners and validators that perform unique AI-related tasks. By deploying a subnet, a project can obtain a daily allocation of TAO emissions and hire a dedicated community of miners to perform specific tasks designated by the subnet. Whenever a project registers a subnet, the registration cost doubles, and if no one registers, the price is linearly halved over four days. (DL News)
