The U.S. Treasury Department once again proposes new cryptocurrency tax rules
BlockBeats news, on March 12, Blockworks reported that in accordance with U.S. President Biden’s plan, the U.S. Treasury Department once again proposed a large number of tax rules related to digital assets, including prohibiting money laundering transactions and imposing a consumption tax on miners’ electricity costs.
The Treasury Department on Monday released its 2025 tax proposals, known as the "green paper," outlining the tax proposals in Biden's budget released on Monday.
The cryptocurrency-related proposals are largely a repeat of a 2023 presidential request that never ended up becoming law.
