ENS Labs is considering reaching a $300,000 settlement agreement with Manifold over the eth.link domain name dispute.
BlockBeats reported on February 13th that ENS Labs, a developer of Ethereum Name Service, received a settlement offer from Manifold Finance in the legal dispute over the eth.link domain name. The dispute, involving multiple parties including domain registrars and Manifold Finance, began in August 2022.
Nick Johnson, the founder of ENS, stated that Manifold Finance proposed a settlement solution requiring ENS Labs to pay $300,000 and sign a "confidentiality and non-disparagement agreement." The transaction will resolve the controversy arising from the transfer and sale of control over the eth.link domain name from ENS Labs, its original owner, resulting in legal complexity. (The Block)
