The US SEC has delayed making a decision on Fidelity's Ethereum spot ETF application.

According to BlockBeats news on January 19th, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed the final deadline for making a decision on Fidelity's Ethereum spot, according to a filing submitted on Thursday. The new deadline is March 5th. The SEC stated that "the Commission believes it is appropriate to designate a longer period within which to take action on the proposed rule change so that it has sufficient time to consider the proposed rule change and the issues raised by the proposal." Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart commented on this, saying "This move is completely expected, and in my opinion, the really important date is late May." Previously, it was reported that Fidelity had applied for an Ethereum spot ETF in November last year.
