Former Central Bank Governor of Turkey, Murat Uysal, has joined the board of directors of CoinTR.
BlockBeats News, January 16th - According to official sources from CoinTR, former Governor of the Central Bank of Turkey, Murat Uysal has officially joined the company's Board of Directors, responsible for CoinTR's compliance and global development. Uysal served as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey in 2016 and as Governor of the Central Bank in 2019, during which time he made outstanding contributions to Turkey's monetary policy and financial stability.
In a statement regarding his joining CoinTR, Murat Uysal emphasized the innovative power and potential of combining blockchain technology with traditional finance. He expressed confidence in CoinTR's technical strength and team experience, stating, "We will work to create a secure, efficient, and leading digital financial infrastructure for Turkey to support its digital transformation."
It is reported that four senior officials from the Turkish Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of Turkey, and the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Turkey have previously joined CoinTR and assumed core positions. CoinTR has also received support for building Turkey's digital financial infrastructure in talks with the Chairman of the Investment Office of the Turkish Presidency, and is currently discussing implementation plans with two major state-owned banks.
