The US Internal Revenue Service has charged Rodney Burton with fraud for allegedly scamming over $7 million through HyperVerse.

According to BlockBeats news on January 9th, the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has arrested and charged Rodney Burton with fraud for allegedly defrauding more than $7 million through the promotion of a false cryptocurrency investment program called HyperVerse. The HyperVerse crypto program led to the loss of millions of dollars for thousands of people, and was operated by an entity called HyperTech, which was driven and operated by CEO Steven Reece Lewis. HyperTech founder and Australian entrepreneur Sam Lee, along with his business partner Ryan Xu, also founded the Australian Bitcoin company Blockchain Global (now bankrupt), which owes creditors $58 million.
