Ethereum will undergo the Cancun upgrade on the Goerli testnet on January 17th.
On January 5th, BlockBeats reported that the 178th Ethereum core developer execution meeting (ACDE) had ended, as confirmed by @lightclients, a developer from the Geth team. During this meeting, the upgrade time for the Kan-Kun upgrade on the Goerli testnet was reaffirmed to be January 17th, and January 30th and February 7th were designated as the upgrade dates for the Sepolia and Holesky testnets, respectively.
Assuming everything goes smoothly, the developers will release the Goerli client next week, and the Sepolia/Holesky clients will be released during the week of January 22nd. Additionally, the 179th ACDE meeting is scheduled to be held on January 18th, and if any issues arise within the first 24 hours after the fork, the upgrade time will be rescheduled.
The developers have also decided that the next Ethereum upgrade will be the Prague/Electra (Pectra) upgrade.
