In the CoinBase data of the genesis block, Satoshi Nakamoto recorded the headline of The Times on that day: "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks". There was only one transaction in the block, and the block reward was 50 bitcoins. According to CoinGecko data, as of the time of writing, the price of Bitcoin is $45,274 with a market capitalization of over $889.4 billion.
