Bloomberg: Yellow Card seeks trading license after Nigeria lifts cryptocurrency ban.
According to a report by Bloomberg on December 23, Yellow Card Financial Inc., a trading platform, will immediately apply for a license after the Central Bank of Nigeria lifts the ban on cryptocurrencies in 2021.
Yellow Card is a company focused on Africa and operates in Nigeria and at least 15 other countries on the continent. The company has begun discussions with the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission to operate a cryptocurrency trading platform after the commission invites digital asset issuers, custodians, and trading platforms to apply for a license.
