Tether froze 161 Ethereum wallet addresses yesterday, of which 150 addresses currently do not hold any USDT.
According to Etherscan data reported by The Block on December 11th, Tether froze 161 Ethereum wallets yesterday, of which 150 wallets currently do not hold USDT and whether they previously held USDT and the amount is unknown. There are a total of 11 wallet addresses holding over 3.5 million USDT, with a single address holding about 3.4 million USDT, which is related to the recent hack attack on Stake by ZachXBT.
As previously reported by BlockBeats, Tether stated yesterday that the company had frozen individual wallets sanctioned by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), with the aim of "proactively preventing any potential misuse of Tether tokens and enhancing security measures", and clarified that wallets on the OFAC list will be frozen and any new wallets added in the future will also be frozen.
