Neutron is set to acquire a 25% stake in Confio, the developer of CosmWasm.

BlockBeats reported on December 5th that Neutron, a cross-chain smart contract platform on Cosmos, will acquire a 25% stake in Confio, the software development company behind CosmWasm, the default virtual machine in the Cosmos ecosystem. The acquisition aims to promote technological improvements to the CosmWasm virtual machine, enhancing its performance, security, and interoperability. According to Avril Dutheil, a core contributor to Neutron, the investment was made in cash by the Neutron Foundation as part of its mission to ensure the long-term growth and development of the network, and did not require a vote from NTRN token holders.
