BlockBeats reported on November 18th that the board of directors of OpenAI announced the resignation of CEO Sam Altman and his departure from the board of directors. The company's chief technology officer, Mira Murati, was appointed as interim CEO.
The OpenAI board of directors stated that they had lost confidence in Altman's honesty. It is reported that the decision regarding Altman was made after a careful review process by the board of directors, and the conclusion was that he could not consistently maintain honesty in communication with the board. The board of directors no longer has confidence in Altman's ability to lead the company.
