PantherTrade, a virtual asset trading platform under Futu, has submitted a license application to the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong.
According to BlockBeats news on November 17th, the list of applicants for virtual asset trading platforms released by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission shows that there are currently six companies applying for virtual asset trading platform licenses. The latest application comes from a fully-owned subsidiary of Futu Holdings, Leopard Trading (Hong Kong) Limited, which submitted its license application on Wednesday (15th). Its virtual asset trading platform is named PantherTrade.
Information shows that PantherTrade appointed Chen Zhihu as a director on September 14th. He was previously the investment director of Huobi Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited. After Huobi was renamed as New Fire Technology, Chen's fourth license in New Fire Asset Management will end in May 2023. Another director is Hong Yimin. The company submitted its incorporation form on March 7th this year, and the first director was Fang Xingzhi. Information shows that he served as a director of JD Securities Limited from September 2019 to July 2020. (Ming Pao)
