The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has announced the addition of a suspicious virtual asset trading platform, "HOUNAX".
According to information disclosed on the official website of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission on November 2nd, a suspicious virtual asset trading platform named "HOUNAX" has been added to the list of unlicensed companies and suspicious websites. The decentralized self-custody protocol is used to protect digital assets from the risks of theft and private key compromise. The "HOUNAX" platform claims to be a cryptocurrency trading platform, targeting Hong Kong investors in particular, as evidenced by the "+852" field pre-populated on its user login page, as well as its social media channels on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube under the name "Hounax Hong Kong". So far, a total of 7 suspicious virtual asset trading platforms have been disclosed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
