DCG has hired former Trump impeachment lawyer to handle lawsuits from the New York State Attorney General.

According to BlockBeats news on November 1st, DCG has hired Barry Berke, a partner and chairman of the litigation department at the law firm Kramer Levin, to defend against the civil lawsuit filed by Letitia James, the Attorney General of New York. Berke played a key role in Donald Trump's two impeachments. Last month, James sued DCG and its bankrupt subsidiary Genesis, as well as Gemini, which collaborated with Genesis, accusing them of failing to disclose risks to investors in the cryptocurrency loan program launched in 2021, involving up to $1.1 billion. DCG responded that the company has always conducted business "legally and with integrity" and will defend against these allegations.
