The US CFTC has paid out $16 million to whistleblowers this year, with most reports involving cryptocurrency.

According to BlockBeats news on November 1st, Christy Goldsmith Romero, a commissioner at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) responsible for regulating the US derivatives market, stated that $16 million has been paid out to whistleblowers this year, with 1,530 tips received, the majority of which involve cryptocurrencies. Fraud and other illegal activities are still prevalent in this area.
