Celestia has launched Blobstream X, which implements modular DA transmission, and has been deployed on the Sepolia testnet.
According to official sources, Celestia, a modular blockchain network, has announced the launch of Blobstream on October 20, according to BlockBeats News. Blobstream can transmit Celestia's data root commitments to the Ethereum light client on-chain. Developers can integrate Blobstream to create high-throughput Ethereum L2 with similar operations to developing smart contracts.
Celestia is committed to becoming a modular data acquisition solution based on data availability sampling (DAS) extension through Blobstream. DAS allows any user to contribute to Celestia for scaling rollups by running a sampling light node directly.
As more and more users run light nodes, DAS can increase Celestia's data throughput, support millions of rollups without affecting end-user security. Meanwhile, Succinct Labs has contributed to Blobstream X by verifying validator signatures on-chain through a single ZK light client proof.
The announcement stated that Blobstream X is currently online on the Ethereum Sepolia testnet, further optimizing Celestia as a DA layer and providing faster on-chain commitments. After auditing and the launch of the Celestia mainnet in the coming weeks, the community can deploy Blobstream on Ethereum and start streaming DA for developers.
