SlowMist Yuxuan: Friend.tech tools may pose hidden risks, caution is highly advised when using them.
BlockBeats reported on October 17th that Yu Xian, the founder of SlowMist, warned the public on social media to be cautious when using tools related to friend.tech, especially those that directly request private keys or require users to log in through friend.tech accounts (such as phone numbers) and independent passwords (friend.tech's 2FA). He warned that these services can interact with friend.tech through reverse proxies, which may manipulate user funds.
Yu Xian emphasized that this risk is not related to friend.tech itself, but rather a common problem in centralized services. He also mentioned that this advanced phishing technique was already widespread in the Web2 era and is still effective in the Web3 era.
