OpenAI's annual revenue reached $1.3 billion, a 30% increase from the summer.
According to a report from The Information citing sources familiar with the matter, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, told employees this week that the company's annual revenue has reached $1.3 billion. This means that the company's monthly revenue exceeds $100 million, a 30% increase from the annual revenue of $1 billion this summer.
Last year, OpenAI's revenue was only $28 million. Since the launch of its paid version ChatGPT in February, the revenue (mainly from subscriptions to its conversational chatbots) has shown significant growth. OpenAI's revenue also includes sales revenue from providing computing power for its artificial intelligence.
