Former Voyager CEO Stephen Ehrlich sued by US CFTC.

BlockBeats news on October 13th: Former CEO of Voyager, Stephen Ehrlich, was sued by the US CFTC for fraud and registration errors in the operation of the Voyager digital asset platform and its unregistered commodity pool. Ehrlich and Voyager falsely touted the Voyager platform as a "safe haven" to lure customers into purchasing and storing digital asset commodities for high returns. In the ongoing lawsuit against Ehrlich, the CFTC is seeking compensation, seizure of illegal gains, civil fines, permanent trading and registration bans, as well as permanent injunctions against further violations of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and CFTC regulations. As previously reported by BlockBeats on October 6th, after investigating Voyager's actions, the enforcement staff of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) recommended that the agency charge former CEO Stephen Ehrlich with misleading customers about the security of their assets. The CFTC commission is now voting to decide whether to take enforcement action against Stephen Ehrlich within a few days.
