The Uniswap Foundation has requested a DAO payout of $46.2 million to support its operational expenses for the next two years.
On October 11th, BlockBeats reported that the Uniswap Foundation launched a proposal requesting the allocation of the remaining $46.2 million from last year's initial financing to support their work for the next two years. Of this amount, $28.33 million will be used for grants, while $13.6 million (including $11.4 million and 508,000 UNI tokens) will be used for operations, with a 10% buffer added to mitigate price fluctuations. The proposal will be voted on within 2 days and will last for 5 days.
The proposal states that the Uniswap Foundation plans to continue developing the Hooks ecosystem through the end of 2023, launch scholarships in October 2023, continue to host IRL Delegate events, and establish more digital communication channels. The Uniswap Foundation plans to build an ecosystem composed of Hooks and application developers by 2024; continue to build the Hooks platform and promote the adoption of v4; expand the contribution team channel through funding; expand the support system for beneficiaries; and create incubation studios.
