Hong Kong police: Fake Binance phishing SMS fraud cases reported, involving HKD 3.5 million.

According to a report from Ming Pao on October 9th, the Hong Kong police have stated that they have discovered criminals impersonating Binance and sending phishing messages. Once users click on the message, their Binance account can be stolen and their assets transferred out. In the past two weeks, 11 cases have been reported regarding virtual assets being transferred out of Binance accounts, with a total amount involved of HKD 3.5 million. In response, Binance founder CZ has reminded users to handle their assets properly and not fall for scams on social media.
