Zhu Su's luxury home in Singapore has been transformed into a farm by his wife, and news of its listing for sale surfaced last year.
According to a report from the United Morning Post on October 6th, Zhu Su, co-founder of Three Arrows Capital, and his wife purchased a high-quality foreign house located on Yawu Road for 48.8 million yuan through a trust last year. The house is now managed by his wife's company as a farm. There were rumors last year that Zhu Su was urgently trying to sell this foreign house.
The liquidators of Three Arrows declined to comment on this high-quality foreign house. Their focus is on the assets held by Three Arrows or acquired through Three Arrows' funds, and the foreign house on Yawu Road is not included.
The backyard of this foreign house has now been developed into an urban ecological farm called Yarwood Homestead. According to the website of the company (registered at this foreign house), this urban ecological farm is the company's tropical research and development base and headquarters. Based on ecological design and principles of ecological agriculture, the company has turned the garden into farmland. The ecosystem includes agriculture and aquaculture, producing local vegetables, herbs, fruits, fish, chicken, and duck. The lawn of the foreign house has been transformed into 36 vegetable beds, growing okra, spinach, beans, mustard greens, sesame, and radish. The swimming pool has been transformed into a natural pond for swimming, with no chlorine added but with water plants, streams, and various fish and shrimp.
According to the company's website, Zhu Su's wife, Evelyn Tao, holds a Ph.D. in biology from the National University of Singapore and previously worked at the Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory and the Institute of Medical Biology under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore.
BlockBeats reported today that The Block has released photos of the scene when Zhu Su, co-founder of Three Arrows Capital, was arrested. The photos show Zhu Su being stopped by two police officers at Changi Airport.
